A furnace is a fifteen to twenty year decision, and the quality of the installation matters as much as the brand on the cabinet. Besties HVAC Solutions installs and replaces gas furnaces across the Denver metro for homeowners who want it done properly the first time: calculated sizing, correct altitude setup, clean venting, and a home left exactly as we found it.

Every estimate is free and every proposal is written, with clear options so you can choose the right balance of comfort, efficiency and budget.

Sizing is calculated, not guessed

Many Denver homes have furnaces that are far larger than they need, because the old unit was sized by square footage or simply copied. An oversized furnace short cycles, creates hot and cold swings, and wears out sooner. We perform a room-by-room heat load calculation (Manual J), look at your ductwork and static pressure, and size the new furnace to your actual home, including any insulation, window or remodel changes since the original install.

Set up correctly for 5,280 feet and above

Gas furnaces lose capacity at altitude, and many manufacturers specify derating, commonly around 4 percent per 1,000 feet, with high-altitude kits or orifice changes on some models. Homes in Castle Rock, Castle Pines or the foothills sit even higher than central Denver. We follow the manufacturer's altitude instructions, then verify gas pressure, temperature rise and combustion on startup. This is the step most often skipped, and it is the one that protects the heat exchanger and your warranty.

Choosing the right furnace

80 percent AFUE furnaces vent through a traditional metal flue and cost less up front. 95 percent and higher AFUE condensing furnaces turn more of your gas into heat, vent through PVC, and produce condensate that must drain reliably. In a Colorado winter that drain and the outdoor vent terminations need to be routed so they do not freeze or get buried in snow. Two-stage and modulating furnaces with variable-speed blowers run longer at low output, which means quieter operation, fewer temperature swings and better filtration.

If you are replacing a furnace and an aging AC at the same time, consider a dual-fuel setup: a cold-climate heat pump handles most of the heating and all of the cooling, while the furnace covers the coldest nights. Qualifying heat pump installations may be eligible for combined Xcel Energy and Colorado incentives of up to $12,250 for qualifying households. Programs change, so we confirm current eligibility and prepare the paperwork. Learn more on our heat pump installation page.

What installation day looks like

Most furnace replacements are completed in one day, and complex jobs with duct or venting changes may take two. We protect floors and finishes, remove and haul away the old equipment, install the new furnace, update venting, gas connections and condensate drainage as needed, and handle the permit where your city requires one. Before we leave, we commission the system, walk you through the thermostat and filter, and register the warranty.

Good to know

Furnace installation questions, answered.

How much does a new furnace cost in Denver?+
Most furnace replacements fall between about $5,500 and $12,000 or more, depending on efficiency, staging, venting and duct work. That is a typical range. Your exact price comes in writing after a free in-home estimate.
How long does furnace installation take?+
Most replacements are completed in a single day. Jobs that involve new venting, duct changes or a combined furnace and AC replacement can take two days.
What size furnace do I need?+
It depends on your home, not only its square footage. We run a room-by-room heat load calculation that accounts for insulation, windows, layout and Denver's climate, then confirm your ductwork can deliver that airflow.
Is a 95 percent furnace worth it in Colorado?+
For most homes with long heating seasons, yes, especially at higher elevations where winters run longer. The condensate drain and PVC vents must be installed to resist freezing and snow, which is part of every install we do.
Do I need a permit to replace a furnace?+
Most metro cities require a mechanical permit for furnace replacement. We handle the permit where it is required and coordinate the inspection.
Do you offer financing?+
Yes. Financing is available on approved credit, and we will show monthly options alongside the full price in your proposal.
Should I replace my AC at the same time?+
If your AC is more than about 12 to 15 years old, replacing both together can save labor, ensure the coil and furnace are matched, and open the door to a dual-fuel heat pump that may qualify for rebates.
