No heat, short cycling or strange noises? We diagnose precisely, price it in writing before we start, and get your home warm again, around the clock.
When a furnace quits in Denver, it rarely picks a convenient night. Besties HVAC Solutions repairs gas, electric and high-efficiency furnaces across the metro with the same white-glove standard we bring to every home and property we care for: floor protection down, a clear diagnosis, a written price you approve before any work starts, and a workspace left cleaner than we found it.
Our technicians are EPA-certified, background-checked and insured. We work on all major makes, and we stock the parts that fail most often so many repairs are finished on the first visit.
If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds or you smell gas, get everyone out of the house first and call Xcel Energy or 911 from outside. Call us once everyone is safe and the utility has cleared the home.
At 5,280 feet the air holds less oxygen than at sea level. Many furnace manufacturers call for derating gas input at altitude, commonly around 4 percent per 1,000 feet, and some models need a high-altitude kit or orifice change. A furnace set up with sea-level numbers can run hot, trip its high-limit switch, stress the heat exchanger or short cycle. On every repair we check gas pressure, temperature rise and combustion against the manufacturer's altitude guidance, not only the part that failed.
Denver's dry, dusty air matters too. Filters load faster during construction season and wildfire smoke events, and a clogged filter is one of the most common reasons a furnace overheats and shuts itself off. Cold snaps that push overnight lows below zero put every weak component under maximum load at once, which is why so many failures land on the coldest night of the year.
We never push a replacement to make a sale. As a rule of thumb, if your furnace is under about 12 years old and the repair is modest, repair it. If it is 15 to 20 years old, the repair costs more than a third of a new system, or the heat exchanger is compromised, it is time to price a replacement. When replacement makes sense, the estimate is free, financing is available, and qualifying high-efficiency equipment may be eligible for utility rebates. Our furnace installation page explains what a proper replacement includes.
